Therapy for Strong People Who are Ready to Exhale

For women who carry a lot… at work, at home, for everyone else… and rarely have a place to set it down.

Who I Help

About This Practice

Kristina Quinn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), EMDR Certified Therapist, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) serving high-functioning women... mothers with demanding careers in healthcare, education, and business ownership... along with fire wives and firefighter spouses across the greater Fort Worth and DFW Metroplex, including Midlothian, Mansfield, and Aledo. Telehealth therapy is available for clients across Texas.

Therapy at The Confidential draws on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), somatic experiencing, and trauma-informed approaches to support real, lasting change… not just symptom management.

You May Recognize Yourself Here

You may be someone others rely on.

Capable. Thoughtful. Responsible.

From the outside, your life likely looks steady… even successful.

But internally, it can feel different.

A low hum of stress that doesn't fully quiet. A sense of distance in your relationships. Or the quiet awareness that something isn't fully settled, even when things are going well.

Not broken. Not falling apart.

Just not quite like yourself.

That's often where this work begins.

Who This Practice Serves

I work with women who are functioning well in many areas of life, while privately carrying more than most people see.

Many are moms with demanding careers... in healthcare, education, or running their own business... where composure and performance are expected every day. Often, they're already self-aware. They've done real work on themselves. What they're looking for now is guidance to reach the deeper, root-level healing that insight alone hasn't gotten them to.

Others are part of first responder families, including fire wives and firefighter spouses, who hold their households and relationships together across long shifts and unpredictable schedules.

What they have in common: they are used to handling things. And they've reached a point where handling it alone isn't working the way it used to.

How the Work Is Different

Therapy here is not about pushing harder or analyzing endlessly.

It draws on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and somatic experiencing, two approaches that work at the level of the nervous system and body, not just the thinking mind.

Many people who arrive here have already tried to manage things on their own. They understand their patterns. They've read the books. They've made real effort.

And still something remains unsettled.

That's often because the patterns that feel most stuck aren't simply habits of thought. They're nervous system adaptations that haven't had the right conditions to resolve.

This work creates those conditions.
